- Bumboat: Bumboat is a traditional boat that has sailed on Singapore River for over 100 years. Previously Bumboats used diesel, but since 2011, Bumboat’s are powered on electric batteries. Both Singapore River Cruise and Singapore River Explorer companies have bumboats. This is the most commonly seen boat on Singapore River.

Singapore River One (SRO) is a not-for-profit company which has been assigned the task of day-to-day management, maintenance, enhancement and marketing of the Singapore River.
SRO is implementing a 5 year business plan for Singapore River and the areas around it; including Boat Quay, Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay.
