  • Thian Hock Keng is a temple for followers of Mahayana Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism.
  • An important deity of the Thian Hock Keng Temple is “Ma Zu”, the Taoist Goddess of the Sea.
  • Thian Hock Keng is among the oldest Chinese Hokkien temple in Singapore. It first opened in 1842.
    On completion of its renovation, Thian Hock Keng Temple was awarded UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage 2001 Award for Culture Heritage Conservation Building.
